Late Qianlong period, circa 1780 – 1795, each of cylindrical form, with a glazed base and unglazed foot ring, the handle having a spur above the lower terminal, the exterior decorated in a famille rose palette, consisting of two scenic reserves, each framed in a scrolling border, one at the back from which the handle issues, painted in rust red monochrome, and the other wrapping three-quarters of the circumference, a genre scenic depicting a Mandarin family in their pavilion garden, the father (in the window ) and mother (seated left at a cut stone table) with their son and daughter (at center) on a textile pattern ground of dragon scale diaper in puce, headed with a reserved white ribbon, edged in black tramlines, and centered with a single line of dart beading in rust red, finished with a gold enamel rim

The pattern is (famously among English china enthusiasts) the one that inspired the New Hall porcelain factory’s version called the ”Boy at the Window” pattern, issued around 1800, which is very similar
